Cultural Events26 – 27 August, 2006 “White Night 2006’’ – Modern Culture Forum The goal of the modern culture forum ‘’White Night 2006’’ is to reveal the diversity of contemporary culture and raise society’s interest in cultural life events by expanding the perception of the term – culture. The idea to invite urban population to enjoy cultural events at night has originated in Paris. The programme includes 10 events- interactive dances, music and video art performance, art festival, concert and other cultural events. WeYou will have the possibility to enjoy them in usual and untraditional environment- in parks, yards and industrial territories. 24-26 August, 2006 Media Art Exhibition ‘’WAVES’’ http://rixc.lvIn 2006 The “Art + Communication” festival celebrates its 10th anniversary and the 8th edition. For the first time the festival is conceived as a large-scale exhibition – WAVES – that looks at electromagnetic waves as the principle material – the medium – of media art. The WAVES exhibition is complemented by a festival programme consisting of a conference, a performance programme, a community day and film screenings of classic and contemporary experimental movies.
